Mahabharata 101- A visual primer
The epic Mahabharata is the longest epic in the world and can be complex enough for most folks to spend a lifetime analyzing. Most focus on the discourse before the final great war between Prince Arjuna and Lord Krishna called the Bhagavad Gita as the most important discourse in how to live one's life. We are bringing a different perspective to the table that each of the central characters of the Mahabharata epic has something to teach us. Each persona has several admirable attributes and also some negative attributes.
For first time readers just getting acquianted with the epic, rather than reading a voluminous book, we think a timely youtube video and a familial wall might be useful. Our profound thanks to the person who had built this video with his voiceover- https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-vg-5zkw6H4. This video is about 15 minutes long but is well done to capture the larger canvas of the Mahabharata epic.
Others might need a organizational chart or familial tree to get used to the various characters that we represent in the blogs. The below wall paper from the same person above who created the youtube video is uploaded here for your ready reference. The main protagonists are all here.
